Xiao Qiji (means Little Miracle), a male giant panda, was born on August 21, 2020, at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, D.C., USA. His parents are Mei Xiang and Tian Tian.
On November 8, 2023, the traveling giant pandas, Mei Xiang, Tian Tian, and their cub, Xiao Qiji, embarked on their journey back to China.
Currently, Xiao Qiji resides at the Shenshuping Base of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Wolong, Sichuan Province. His mother, Mei Xiang, and father, Tian Tian, are living in a non-exhibit area.
