The photo was taken by Panda365 on June 27, 2025, at the Sichuan Ya’an Bifengxia Base of the China Giant Panda Research and Conservation Center. It features the Malaysian-returning giant panda couple, Feng Yi (female) and Fu Wa (male).
Feng Yi and Fu Wa were born on the same day, August 23, 2006, and grew up as childhood sweethearts. On May 21, 2014, they moved to Malaysia together as a couple and had three daughters: Nuan Nuan, Yi Yi, and Sheng Yi. Later, all three daughters returned to China one by one.
Feng Yi and Fu Wa returned to China together on May 18, 2025, and now live as neighbors at the Sichuan Ya’an Bifengxia Base. (FengYi, FuWa)
