Bei Bei, a male giant panda with the pedigree number 978, was born on August 22, 2015, at the Giant Panda House of the National Zoo in the United States. His parents are the American-born giant pandas Tian Tian and Mei Xiang.
On November 19, 2019, giant panda Bei Bei returned to China and currently resides at the Shenshuping Base of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Wolong, Sichuan. (BeiBei)
