According to the official website of the Beauval Zoo, after spending over 13 years at the zoo and winning the hearts of millions of visitors, the two giant pandas—Huan Huan and Yuan Zi—will return to China by the end of November 2025.
Under the cooperation agreement, the panda pair Huan Huan and Yuan Zi were originally scheduled to return to China by January 2027 at the latest. However, considering that they are now 17 years old and approaching old age, and that their current health is deemed sufficient to endure the long journey, it has been decided—after consultation with the Chinese team—to arrange their return to China by the end of November 2025.
Their twin offspring, Huan Li Li and Yuan Du Du, born in 2021 at Beauval Zoo and now weaned, will remain at the zoo until the cooperation period concludes in January 2027. (HuanHuan, YuanZi, HuanLiLi, YuanDuDu)
