Bao Di, a male giant panda, was born on August 8, 2019, along with his twin sister, Bao Mei, at Pairi Daiza Zoo in Belgium. His parents are the giant pandas Xing Hui and Hao Hao.
On November 14, 2019, the twin pandas born in Belgium were officially named “Bao Di” and “Bao Mei,” meaning the brother and sister of the first giant panda born in Belgium, “Tian Bao.”
On December 11, 2024, Bao Di returned to China with his older brother, Tian Bao, and his twin sister, Bao Mei. He currently resides at the Bifengxia Base of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Ya’an.
