The giant panda Bei Bei, a male with pedigree number 978, was born on August 22, 2015, at Smithsonian’s National Zoo in the United States. His parents are the giant pandas Tian Tian and Mei Xiang.
Bei Bei returned to the Bifengxia Base of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda on November 19, 2019.
