According to the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda, Hao Hao (female, born July 2009), a giant panda residing at Belgium’s Pairi Daiza Zoo, has been showing recurrent symptoms of moderate ascites. Following a comprehensive assessment by experts from both sides, it is planned that Hao Hao will be brought back to China this December to continue receiving professional treatment and care. Her mate, the male giant panda Xing Hui (born July 2009), will remain at Pairi Daiza Zoo in Belgium. (HaoHao)
