Xi Lan, a male giant panda with a studbook number of 731. He was born on August 30, 2008, at Zoo Atlanta in the United States. He is the second cub of Lun Lun and Yang Yang, the giant pandas traveling in the U.S., and the seventh panda born in the United States. He is the younger brother of Mei Lan.
The name “Xi Lan” means “Atlanta’s Joy.”
On May 15, 2014, Xi Lan and his sister Bao Lan returned to China. They currently reside at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
