Zhen Zhen, a female giant panda with the studbook number 694, was born on August 3, 2007, at the San Diego Zoo in the United States. Her parents are male giant panda Gao Gao and female giant panda Bai Yun.
On September 26, 2010, Zhen Zhen returned to the Wolong China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Sichuan, China. She currently lives at the Shenshuping Base.
The photo shows Zhen Zhen taking a nap at the mouth of her den on April 9, 2025, while her own cub, Jin Hui (right), and the cub she fostered, Qian Xi (left, whose mother is Qian Qian), are napping on a wooden frame.
